What we collect

CausticFlow does not collect personal data. Lens designs, project files, screenshots, and analysis outputs stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.

• Web app at causticflow.com runs entirely in your browser. We do not run analytics, cookies, session recording, or any third-party trackers.
• Desktop app (Tauri) stores files locally. Its built-in Rust backend listens only on 127.0.0.1 (loopback) and is not reachable from any network.
• Python SDK connects to your local desktop app instance. No telemetry.

AI assistant feature

The optional in-app AI assistant lets you connect a third-party AI provider (such as Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, or Google) using your own API key. When you use it, your prompts and any system context you choose to send are transmitted to the provider you configured. CausticFlow does not see, store, or proxy these requests.

Third parties

We do not share data with third parties because we do not collect data. The hosting provider (Hetzner) serves the static web app and sees standard HTTP request logs (IP address, user-agent, requested path) inherent to web hosting. We do not aggregate or analyze those logs.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete on your behalf. To delete local files, remove them from your device.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date and post the new version at this URL.
